What is this blog about?
-Spiking Trips is a blog on the subject of poker, concentrating on Texas Hold'em. It is intended to express ideas, share experiences and stories, discuss current happenings in poker, and just be entertaining reading. Hopefully by doing this, it will induce conversation among the readers.
When will it be updated?
-I am committed to adding a post once a week. The exact day is not set in stone, but will most likely be mid week.
What expertise do I have, and how am I qualified to blog about poker?
-Short answers are none and I am not. As stated earlier, Spiking Trips is meant to be a good read. I have no formal writing experience, but I am a big boy, so your thoughts are welcome.
Who am I?
-My name is Ryon Register. I am married to a wonderful woman, have a very active 6 year old son, and have a regular job. I have been a big poker fan since watching the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event, won by Chris Moneymaker (disclaimer: I am not a Moneymaker fan, but watching that run captivated me). I currently play poker online using the handle styles711, hoping to spike trips and drag a big pot.
